Young is an internationally known speaker who has presented to such diverse

Radio and Television, and Society of Women Engineers. Her work has been cited in
such publications as The Wall Street Journal, Psychology Today, The Chicago
Tribune, USA Today Weekend, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Globe & Mail,
Kiplinger’s, Woman’s Day, Cosmopolitan, Self, and Redbook. Valerie earned her
doctoral degree from the University of Massachusetts where her research focused
on understanding and eliminating the psychological barriers preventing women
from embracing their full potential.
